Immokalee to Airglades & Back - Cross Country Flight
This is a semi-challenge XC for anybody who wants to join! On Saturday (June 14th) we will be taking off from the Immokalee airport. By sunrise (6:30am) all pilots who are participating in the XC will be en route to the Airglades airport. We will refuel at Airglades and return to Immokalee.
Flight path
This path has been chosen to provide pilots who experience a motor out a safe landing and easy access for rescue. You may cut corners to save time, gas, or distance. Please maintain a safe and respectful altitude over the preserves/parks.

Chase Car

Everyone participating is asked to please:
1.) Provide premixed fuel for your return trip. This will be taken to the Airglades airport.
2.) Please provide $5 cash (or more) to the chase car driver. This is simply a courtesy and way to say thank you to the driver.
3.) Please be respectful of the cattle and farmers during the flight. Some ranchers between these airports have complained in the past.
The Plan

Learning from the last time: This is an early flight. The time we all be departing Immokalee Airport is 6:30am. Please allow yourself enough time for you to be fully ready and in the air by that time. Late pilots are more than welcome to join the XC, but you will need to monitor your fuel levels closely. The chase car will not be available for you to load fuel into because it will have already started the drive to Airglades.
This flight is a mild challenge. It will be supported by our chase car, but the chase is for providing fuel to pilots. Any pilot who lands out will need to wait for the end of the XC to be rescued.
